In Memory of Mike LaRocque Broker and Owner of LaRocque & Co., Realtors

Mike was born in Cocoa Beach, Florida but lived abroad for several years with his family before returning to settle in Merritt Island in the early 1980’s.  It was then he began to build everlasting bonds within the community that would touch the lives of so many.  As he grew into adulthood, started a family, and took on the business of LaRocque & Co., Realtors, he continued to be a positive guiding beacon in the lives of everyone he came to know.  As the broker and owner of the business, his commitment to the success of his agents is unparalleled and deeply appreciated by every one of them.  He was both a leader and a support to them and provided the perfect balance of partnership and leadership for every agent to succeed.

Mike was a tie that binds for so many.  There is no doubt he will continue to be just that as we continue to navigate the ever-changing landscape of real estate without his presence.  He was deeply rooted in this business/family and his community but found a way to expand our brand into other counties which has allowed us to grow and build relationships well outside the boundaries of Brevard. While his even handed and “steady as we go” outlook on life and business will be missed greatly by his colleagues, he has left us with the tools and knowledge to continue the legacy of LaRocque & Co., Realtors into a certain and successful future.  We have every intention of maintaining the standards of honesty and transparency he lived by and instilled in the hearts of all of us. We are honored to continue to build relationships within our community and beyond. We are also incredibly grateful to have known such a wonderful leader and exceptional human being.

Working in the Ice Rink Business half my life is where I learned the importance of having an excellent work ethic, great customer service, and determination to get the job done. I moved to Brevard County in 2005 to work in Real Estate, and I can proudly say that treating people with respect and honesty has been the basis of my success. I value the positive referrals from the amazing people I've been able to help along the way.  I've experienced the ups and downs of our market which has given me insight to better serve my clients. Having my office centrally located near Cocoa Village gives me the opportunity to work in many different areas of the county. I'm grateful that my wife and twin girls are able to enjoy all of what Brevard County has to offer, from weekends at the beach to magnificent rocket launches. I have been in Brevard County since 1973.  I have raised my family here. I have seen the growth and expansion of every community since my arrival to Florida.  I am a transplant from Maryland.  I have worked within the community and supported numerous youth and adult functions.

Christie grew up in central Brevard County and decided, after ten years away, it will always be home.  She raised her children in Merritt Island and spent some years working for Brevard Public Schools teaching in Titusville.  When the opportunity arose to join LaRocque & Co., Realtors, she jumped in and has been with the company since 2013.  Her familiarity with Brevard as a home grown local is an excellent resource for both “New to Brevard” residents and “Long Time Locals”.  Since she sent all four of her kids to the local public schools and worked within the school system for a number of years, she can be helpful in choosing a district that works for your family.

I have been in Florida since I was a child and love it here. I grew up in central Florida, moved to the space coast in 1997. I then married my husband and moved to the Palm Bay Area in 1998. I love the location, it’s very practical to go anywhere. I have been a Business Office Manager and Regional Business office Director for the past 15 years. I purchased several rental properties and finally decided it was time for a career change so I’m starting my real estate career with a lot of business and customer service experience. I have lived in Central Florida for 23 years,earning my real estate license in 2001.

I sold time share for 3 years at Sheraton Vistana Villages moving on to Head Their Marketing Department.This is an industry where you truly develop your negotiating skills.

I have been a Kiwannis Member and am currently a member of Lions Club International for 10 years where I have served as club Vice-president and  Recruiter.

I stepped out of those rolls when I moved to Brevard County to focus on my Real Estate career.

I worked for Century 21 in Albany and Greene county in upstate .New York.

I am Tony Laurendi, and have lived in Brevard County with my wife Kathy for 35 years. We have two (2) adult Children (Cody and Kayleen) who graduated from Eau Gallie High School. I have earned the NAR Military Relocation Professional (MRP) designation in 2020 as I'm now a 16-year Sales Associate. This education has resulted in a clearer understanding of the unique buying, renting and selling circumstances of our Active Duty, Reservist and Veteran Community including the VA loan benefit.

Since my retirement last December, I have obtained the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) and Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource (SFR) designations from NAR and have learned of several others that would benefit our clients, if earned.

Outside of work I have become a decent Boat operator and kayaker.

I was born and raised in sunny Florida. I've travelled to many countries but have always loved living in Florida , especially now that I've settled in the Treasure Coast. I've worked in Customer Service for many years and I uniquely understand and enjoy working with buyers and sellers getting them to a successful closing.

My approach to working is simple ... establish, grow, and foster good working relationships. I have been a LCAM/Licensed Community Association Manager and working in the industry for about 27 years in several states, licensed in Florida for 2 ½ years. My background is in Community Association (HOA ; COA) and Property Management (apartments). This has taught me skills which lend themselves well not only for my work life but my personal life. I originally got started in the apartment industry in Alb., NM. and continued managing apartments in NC, SC, TX and FL. I started managing HOA and COA's in SC. Over the years I have accomplished employee of the month multiple times and manager of the year a couple of times. I have always loved what I do working with the public. As a PORTFOLIO MANAGER, I managed 10 properties (normal for all managers, some with over 500 single family homes, as well as some condo associations, normally around 2000 doors). It is always my goal to be as timely and knowledgeable as possible to get the job done. As an Apartment Manager, I managed up to 1300 units at a time. Usually, the communities were less than 600 units. I was responsible for every aspect of the asset from leasing, budgeting, maintenance, capital improvements, renovations, and staff. When I am not keeping busy with work you can typically find me on a beach somewhere, traveling or hanging out with my husband and grandchildren.

Sharon Boutelle became a Brevard County resident in 1981 where she went to school, graduated and received her Real Estate License in 2001.  Growing up in Brevard County, this allows Sharon the knowledge to succeed in finding the perfect property for her clients. Growing up in Merritt Island has given Kim a lifelong love for our Brevard County Communities. After completing her Interior Design Degree at Auburn University, Kim started her career as an Interior Designer specializing in creating model homes for various builders across the United States. In 2002 Kim received her Florida Builder Contractor's License, giving her vast knowledge in building custom residential homes. In 2006, Kim got Licensed as a Florida Real Estate Agent, thus being able to buy and sell properties and furthering her knowledge of the Brevard County market.
